Most of this is noise; the idea that the healing of a paralytic 'standardizes' Jesus' teaching is too decisive. This is a conditionality, because the impact will always depend on the context. If the crowd already had a clear understanding of Jesus' words, a healing would add little to the 'standardization'. Our posture is to focus on what is controllable. For example, the effectiveness of an act depends on the receptivity of the audience, an exogenous factor often overlooked.
